I'm not saying that car design's dead or anything, but the first thing that struck both me and a friend of mine when we saw the photos of that S-Class is how much its rear end looks like that of the Laguna Coupe. They both have a similar overall shape from behind, similar taillights and a spoiler/hump on top of the trunk lid.

yea I went off on a rant … its just that EVERYTIME a new car comes out everyone says its just like something else. Also I'd argue that is a nice progression from this.

I've never ranted about a car looking like something else before, but in this case the similarity struck me as something completely obvious. I'm a massive fan of the outgoing CL and would hate to see its successor looking like a crappy midsize coupe.
